| A very successful harvest has ended. After recently completing fermentations and the pressing of the new wine, calm is now returning to the winery. It is too early to make firm prognostications on the quality of the 2011 vintage. But, unlike many in this unusual year, Calluna was fortunate to set a good crop and get it fully ripe. It was the latest harvest we've ever had due to the cool growing season. It appears that we have attained excellent flavor ripeness from our grapes and done so at relatively low sugar / alcohol levels. |
