Dear Friends,
We invite you to join us on Saturday, February 11, for our annual Valentine's weekend celebration of the wines we love: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. As is our tradition, we'll be serving Drouhin wines from both Oregon and France. From DDO we're pleased to preview the 2010 Chardonnay Arthur, and to share the 2009 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley and the 2008 Pinot Noir Laurène. From Maison Joseph Drouhin, we look at the acclaimed 2009 vintage through two exciting selections: the Drouhin Vaudon Chablis and the Maison Joseph Drouhin Gevrey Chambertin.

Cheers,
Ashley, Dara, Dyane, & Terrie

Véronique's Tasting Notes
This Chablis is crisp and easy to enjoy now. Its colour is pale gold with greenish hues. The aromas are very fresh, reminiscent of lemon and grapefruit with a hint of fern and coriander. On the palate, this Chardonnay is dry and fruity, with excellent minerality, as you would expect. The finish is very pleasant with a nice, long aftertaste.

Véronique's Tasting Notes
Intensely fruity on the nose, the aromas are reminiscent of black cherry, wild blackberry and liquorice...As the wine evolves, there are more complex notes, such as mild spice, nutmeg and leather. Later still, mushroom and damp earth nuances make their appearance. Delicious!
