The 2011 edition is delightful, which is the most important quality I look for in our rosé. It is a wine that delights the eye, delights the nose, and delights the palate. In 2011, we have bright citrus aromatics, with ripe melon and pink grapefruit notes, which also carry through on the palate. It is vibrant and fresh, with a strong acidic backbone and a very fresh, long finish. |

Greetings from the Dundee Hills,
Rosé. We're convinced that this is a grand reminder that the snow, rain and cold of the last few weeks can't last forever, and that warmer days surely lie ahead. Since we first released the Edition Rosé, we've hoped we could make it each year, and though it hasn't always been possible, we're thrilled when it is. The 2011 Edition is stellar, and like its predecessors we expect it to sell out very quickly. As is our tradition, we're offering a 25% discount on case purchases made before April 30. As a valued member of DDO Direct, you are receiving first access to this release. Enjoy!

Each year we hand pick our Pinot Noir from the 35 blocks on the Estate and deliver it to the winery in the early morning hours. These clusters are then hand-sorted, destemmed and moved via gravity into one of our stainless steel fermentation tanks. After 12 hours, the ideal color was reached, and we took some of the juice from each tank (representing all 35 blocks), in a true saignée. Fermentation started naturally with wild yeast and the wine was kept at a cooler temperature, allowing the aromatics and fruit flavors to develop. After five months, 575 cases of the 2011 Edition Rosé were bottled in March.
