About Gilles Nicault Working with some of the best vineyards in the Columbia Valley, French-born winemaker Gilles Nicault draws on his considerable experience in Washington state to craft Chester-Kidder, a layered red wine styled for complexity and richness. Gilles’ winemaking journey began at the University of Avignon, where he studied Viticulture and Enology before honing his craft throughout Cote Du Rhone, Provence and Champagne. Reports of outstanding grapes from the eastern slopes of Washington state lured Gilles to Walla Walla, where he joined our community of enologists and winemakers.
