Positioned on an east-facing slope at 600 feet of elevation, this tiny vineyard’s unique soils and mesoclimate foster small, highly concentrated grapes. Vinified with traditional winemaking techniques our chardonnay captures the vineyard terroir in its silky, complex fruit character, integrated with toasty nuances. Only 332 cases produced. Matthew’s pick, “This wine is a jewel!” Acacia Vineyard Pinot Noir Phendler 2011 This very limited bottling comes from vines crafted to pinot noir clone 828 in the meticulously planted Pfendler Vineyard. Pacific winds from the Sonoma coast fan this west-facing, mountain-slope site, giving the grapes exceptionally vibrant flavors. Fermentation with the native yeast and 13 months of aging in French Oak barrels added even more complexity to the dark berry, plum, mineral and earthen characters.
