from the start of the 2013 harvest, a natural time to think about
recent vintages and the wines we are enjoying currently.

2009 Laurène
We are coming to the end of the 2009 Laurène, which is drinking beautifully and has started to take on added dimension. 2009, like 2006, was a warm year in the Willamette Valley, so the fruit forward character was always present. But, also like 2006, the core character of our estate vineyard really starts to emerge after several years in the bottle. It’s a great time to make sure you have what you want in your cellar.

2011 Chardonnay Arthur
2011 was the latest harvest on record, and though at times we wondered if the grapes would ever fully ripen, it turned out to be a tremendous vintage. The 2011 Arthur is everything we want it to be—vibrant, fragrant, elegant and alive—there just isn’t enough of it! The wine will drink well for several years to come. Like Laurène, we’re nearing the end of the vintage, so this is a perfect time to put some away in your cellar.
