Dear %%FIRST%%, With warmer temperatures beginning to arrive here in the Willamette Valley (and across the country), a short window of time remains for your favorite Domaine Drouhin wines to be shipped and on-hand for summer enjoyment. For those of you who may not have already secured our latest Edition Limitée releases, we encourage you to do so today. We previewed the 2012 EL Chardonnay and debuted the 2011 EL Pinot Noir at our first Edition Limitée Fête in May, and the overwhelming response has left a limited amount of each cuvée available. Please call, email, or visit our online store to secure these wines for your Cellar. In 2004, the idea of an Edition Limitée cuvée was born with two barrels of Chardonnay that seemed quite different from the rest of the cellar and deserved to be bottled separately. Since then, the EL Chardonnay has achieved its own following, including a 93 point score from the Wine Spectator for the 2011 vintage. Now comes the 2012 EL Chardonnay - a gorgeous wine from a spectacular vintage.  In 2008, Véronique felt that a few of the Estate parcels were complex enough to be bottled individually, but she let the thought pass. In 2011, the same parcel that had intrigued her earlier again presented itself as something unique. 2011 was such a late, cool year that it really sharpened the differences between the estate blocks. In contrast to our barrel cuvées, our Edition Limitée Pinot Noir is an 'estate selection', a chance to highlight individual vineyard blocks that have something to say in a given vintage. Today, we're pleased to present our first Edition Limitée Pinot Noir, from the 2011 vintage. We look forward to sharing these exceptional releases with you!Santé!
