Get to know Jeff Moore

Jeff Moore may not be an Alameda native but after 28 years of living on the island he is certainly a local. Over those 28 years Jeff has watched Rosenblum Cellars grow to become what it is today. He fondly remembers visiting Rosenblum Cellars in the 80’s before there was even a real tasting room to speak of. Although attending the California Culinary Academy was his ostensible excuse for leaving his home state of Oklahoma, if pressed Jeff will admit it was really the lure of Grateful Dead shows that brought him to sunny California. After the culinary academy (and more than a few concerts) Jeff went on to manage a number of large restaurants before leaving the restaurant industry to be a stay-at-home dad.

Throughout the years Jeff continued to visit Rosenblum Cellars and always wondered what it would be like to work in the tasting room he frequented. In 2010 his curiosity got the better of him and he began working at Rosenblum Cellars events from time to time. He quickly became a regular sight behind the tasting room bar and can now be found pouring tastings at least 4 days a week.

Jeff loves big, bold Zins and his favorite pairing is our Rockpile Zin and a pizza shared with his lovely wife and kids.

Take a tour of the vineyard

Have you ever wanted to see where your favorite Rosenblum Cellars wines come from? This Fall you can do just that. Join us for a vineyard tour and you'll be able to taste a grape just before harvest, discuss wine with our winemaker John Kane, and experience the excitement before crush. Tickets are $90 per person for a single tour or join us for all 3 for $250 per person. Each tour includes transportation, wine, a scenic picnic lunch, and a one of a kind experience in our vineyards.

September 14th - Kick Ranch and Maggie’s
September 28th - Rockpile
October 12th - RC12 and Production
