Meet Andrea Jones, Rosenblum Cellars’ resident “Girl Friday”
Andrea grew up on the Gulf Coast where she gained a passion for all things culinary at a very young age. In a family full of Southern cooks she learned to fry chicken and bake biscuits early on and hasn’t lost her love of comfort food although her tastes have developed over the years. After graduating from Florida State University with a BA in Creative Writing Andrea decided
to return to the kitchen and moved to Atlanta to hone her baking skills in a wholesale artisan bakery. Seeking to expand her horizons outside of the Southeast she relocated to San Francisco where she fell into a tasting room position at Rosenblum Cellars and quickly realized a passion for food very easily translates into a love of wine. Andrea hit her stride at Rosenblum and began taking on a wide variety of tasks moving into a full time position in 2012 supporting the wine club and tasting room. These days Andrea can be found in the tasting room, pouring Rosenblum Cellars’ wines at events, answering your calls and emails, or in her kitchen making her mother’s chocolate sheet cake. If you ask very nicely she might even bring you a slice (with or without pecans).
If you like something with a little heat Andrea recommends pairing spicy shrimp and grits (she notes there isn’t really any other kind) with our 2009 Rhodes Grenache.
