Sterling Vineyards was once again selected to participate by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, as the Exclusive Wine of The Oscars®
Winemaker Alison Crary was thrilled at this spectacular opportunity. “It’s amazing to have our wines poured at the most glamorous event in the world!” said Crary, “I see similarities between winemaking and moviemaking. Napa is a great story and my job, like any director’s, is to create a ‘Best Picture’ with every vintage… A bold, powerful and unforgettable wine reminds me of a ‘Best Actor or Actress’,” continued Crary. “While a wine that is consistently good, versatile with food and you can always rely on is like a ‘Best Supporting Actress or Actor.”
Winemakers Harry Hansen and Alison Crary dug into the winery’s cellar reserves for exceptional vintages and agreed to pour the 2007 Sterling Reserve Cabernet, the 2009 Sterling Reserve Chardonnay and three limited production dessert wines. The wines were paired with an extraordinary menu created by Master Chef Wolfgang Puck, for the Governors Ball, the Official Celebration of The Oscars®. Both wines complemented the 50+ selections of hors d’oeuvres, small plate entrees and desserts that Chef Puck has created for this celebration.”

Please welcome Meredith, the newest member of our team! Meredith comes to us from beautiful Virginia. While on vacation with her father in Napa, Meredith fell in love with the valley and the wine industry. She then moved to Napa and was promptly hired at Cuvaison Estate Wines. She later moved on to Bennett Lane Winery as their Tasting Room Manager for five years. Come visit Meredith and experience the enchanting Napa Valley for yourself!
