Tasting Notes
Elegant and classic, our Beaulieu Vineyard Ranch No. 1 Cabernet Sauvignon is a Bordeaux-style blend from our historic vineyard in Rutherford. Cabernet Sauvignon, the core of the blend, contributes deep blackberry and cassis expression with muscular tannins. Merlot brings vibrancy to the bright fruit aromas, adds notes of mocha and fills out the expansive flavors with luscious texture. Finally, Petit Verdot brings a violet element and enhances the blend’s firm structure. This wine, although delicious now, will reward bottle aging with even greater complexity. Pair it with an equally classic entrée, such as filet mignon with wild mushroom sauce.
