The pinnacle of our Chardonnay program, Récolte is a hand harvested, limited production, barrel fermented Chardonnay made from the finest selection of Domaine Serene estate Chardonnay. We combine the right clones, high elevation and dry farmed vineyards to coax this noble grape into producing a wine of elegance, brilliance and poise. The 2012 vintage was characterized by lower yields and dry conditions, leading to wines of great flavor intensity, richness, and opulence.
2012 Récolte Chardonnay is a complex and layered wine offering aromas of citrus zest, Asian pear, fresh apricot, honey, crushed stone, nutmeg and marzipan. On the palate, the wine is powerful, focused and balanced and finishes with a lingering flavor persistence.
